The luxury car segment has been seeing the entry of a lot of new cars which form the entry level luxury cars. Mercedes-Benz will bring in the CLA as their least priced sedan while BMW is rumored to be working on a 2-Series to rival the same. What could really raise the bar, could be the competition from Audi in this segment as well. The entry-level luxury car segment is all set to go on fire.
Audi showcased the Audi A3 concept a little while ago and the concept is expected to reach the production lines soon as well with minimal changes to the concept car. We have for you the rendering of the what could be the production ready version of the Audi A3 which at first glance looks like a toned down version of the Audi A4, its elder sibling.
The Audi A3 will have a length of 4.4-metres which is shorter as compared to the 4.76-metres which is the length of the Audi A4. The Audi A3 concept first broke cover in 2011 when it was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show back then and the same Auto Show this year is expected to bring forward the production ready version of the baby sedan in Audi’s lineup.
The front of the car will resemble its hatchback version and the car would have that A4-ish look on the whole. Audi aims to be the number 1 player in the luxury car segment and if it intends on doing so, it needs to bring in a lot of volumes by selling such mass market luxury cars. The A3 sedan will surely find a truck load of buyers and when it reaches India, it is going to give its German compatriots a tough time catching up.
