After months of speculations and Spy photos, Yamaha India has finally confirmed the launch of the new R15 for the 6th of September, 2011. The new R15 has been one of the most awaited bike of the year. The new Yamaha R15 features an all new rear end with revised headlights and front end.
The news is confirmed via an official invite which calls the new R15 ‘the Yamaha R15 version 2.0.’. The invite, signed by company’s India MD and CEO Hiroyuki Suzuki confirms the launch of the bike at 4:30 pm at Le Meridien in New Delhi.
Yamaha has increased the local sourcing of components with the new R15 and we can expect a very competitive pricing for the upgraded R15.
So, for all those who are interested in booking R15 now or this month, wait for few more days for you’ll be able the own the next generation model.
Refresher – New Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 bike will get a high split rear seat, LED taillights, new upswept silencer, rear tyre hugger, redesigned rear mud guard, new five-spoke alloy wheels – from the Yamaha YZF-R125; along with a wider rear tyre and freshly designed side fairing. A slight increase in power is expected for the R15 V2, helping Yamaha to counter the increased weight and rolling resistance of the new model.
