Nissan will launch a slew of SUV’s for the Indian market soon. This will be in a bid to reignite their sales numbers here. The Japanese automaker is on the verge of launching their much-awaited mid-size SUV, the Kicks.
Reports suggest that the Kicks will be followed by another mid-size SUV and a premium SUV. The premium SUV will be the Terra, already on sale in markets like China and Thailand. As per reports, the Terra is slated for launch sometime in 2020.
The Terra will be offered in a seven-seat configuration like its rivals. Coming to the model, it will be sharing its platform with the upcoming X-trail and the Pathfinder, which is also being monitored for India. Nissan have not spoken about their thoughts on bringing these vehicles here.
But, we can expect them to confirm it soon due to their recent change in strategy. This will enable the company to keep in touch with the Indian customers growing preference towards SUV’s. As of now, Nissan must avoid themselves from falling off the radar of the Indian buyers.
We can expect the Terra to be priced at around Rs. 25-30 lakhs when it gets launched. The Terra will rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700. Given Nissan’s pedigree of making great SUV’s worldwide, we can expect the Japanese automaker to not disappoint with the Terra.
