Nissan India could launch the Magnite sub-4 meter SUV by this Diwali in the country, according to a media reports.
The Nissan Magnite (codename: EM2) is expected to share its underpinnings with the Renault Triber (CMF-A+). A few teaser images have already been released by the Japanese carmaker which shows the side profile of the car and its tail lamp cluster. It is likely to get a stepped roof-like the Triber to increase headroom. The Magnite compact SUV could also be offered with a sunroof option.
More performance 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (codename: HR10) is expected to drive the higher-option of Nissan Magnite. It will be mated either to a 5-speed automatic manual or an optional CVT transmission. The entry-level versions may get a 1.0-liter natural-aspirated motor (codename: BR10) paired to a 5-speed manual and a possible 5-speed AMT.
Nissan Magnite will be equipped with features including a wide touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & linked apps, and Reverse camera. The Magnite will compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon & Mahindra XUV300.
