Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced that there are no immediate plans to discontinue the older Access 125 scooter. The new Access 125 will be priced higher than the old model, thus, the old Access 125 will continue as the entry-level 125cc scooter in the company’s scooter line-up.
The old Access 125 is very competent and sales around 13,000 units every month, ever since its launch in the 125cc scooter segment. Although this is nowhere close to other mass market scooters’ sales numbers, considering that 125cc scooters aren’t as popular as their 110cc counterparts, this is a sales figure for a 125cc scooter.
The new Access 125 is underpinned by an all-new platform and features an upgraded engine is priced Rs. 53,887 (ex-showroom Delhi). While the old Access 125 is priced at Rs 50,550 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it compete with the Mahindra Rodeo.
