Car market leader, Maruti Suzuki has launched a refreshed avatar of Ritz diesel just ahead of the festive season and now it has also launched the petrol powered Ritz in the new avatar. The price of the new Ritz begins at Rs 5.15 lakh for the base petrol variant (ex-showroom Mumbai). The Ritz petrol variant comes in 4 different trim levels, LXi, VXi, VXi with ABS and ZDi.
The Ritz petrol variant now has all the features that are already part of the diesel make of the car and promises its buyers class leading comfort and performance besides top notch trust & dependability. It is said that there is a little price appreciation after the introduction of the new model and the price is increased by only Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000.
Like the diesel variant, this too is packed with 52 exciting changes such as new front design, new dual tone interiors, new ZDi variant, multi-information display on instrument panel, new audio system with USB, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors and body side moulding. The car will be available in a new shade called ‘Mystique Red’.
Under the hood, the new Ritz petrol sports the same 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine which generates 83.8 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is mated a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company has not yet updated their website with details of the Ritz petrol variant and it is believed that the new Ritz AT (Automatic Transmission) will be launched in the coming few days.

- New Maruti Ritz LXi – Rs. 5.15 lakh
- New Maruti Ritz VXi – Rs. 5.50 lakh
- New Maruti Ritz VXi (ABS) – Rs. 5.80 lakh
- New Maruti Ritz ZXi – Rs. 6.24 lakh
