We’re not even kidding. According to reports by AutoTelegraaf, Jaguar plans on calling its new entry-level BMW 3-Series fighter the ‘XS’ (or Extra Small). We’re not quite sure what Jaguar’s thought process is here but we guess they want to continue the current flow of XF, XK and XJ.
At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, coachbuilder Bertone unveiled a new concept called B99, which is a study that hints at an entry-level Jaguar that could compete with the likes of the BMW 3-Series. Jaguar later nicely said ‘no thanks’ to the design study and said that the B99 does not hint at the new small sedan that Jaguar is considering.
Jaguar plans on rolling out the small sedan sometime in 2013 or 2014.
