Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 arrives at a dealership, ahead of the launch

Yamaha India is all set to bring in the next-version of its popular R15, christened the YZF-R15 Version 3.0. This model is already on sale in some countries, and it’s India launch is not too far away. The bike is expected to be launched early next-year.

It was spotted at a Yamaha dealership in India recently, so it may suggest that the motorcycle is close to its launch. There is no word yet from the company regarding the bike, but expect it to come out more sooner than later. The India bound version will get features like front and rear disc brakes, regular front forks and so-on.

But, it will miss-out on ABS, unlike the global model. The YZF-R15 V3 looks light years ahead of the current model, and is likely to be well received here. Engine specifications include a single cylinder 155cc engine with fuel injection, producing 19.7 BHP of power and 14.7Nm of torque.

Yamaha will look to price YZF R15 V3 competitively in a bid to have a foothold in the Indian premium motorcycle segment. It will rival the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and that TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Expect the YZF-R15 V3 to carry forward the Legacy of its predecessors and continue its popularity.
