After the incredible success of the first season, Tata Nano and MTV are back with the second season of ‘Nano Drive with MTV’, India’s first social road trip. This ultimate Social Road Trip is where the digital world meets the real world to create a unique driving experience.
What makes the second season of Drive with MTV even more exciting is that the audience gets to decide not only the course of the drive but also gets to choose the four teams that will compete in this exciting challenge. Nano and MTV fans, on social media, have sent many suggestions, in response to an online contest, indicating destinations and routes along with tips that would help the contestants during the journey.
Registrations for the second season have started and will end on May 20, 2013. Enthusiasts can register on – drive.mtvindia.com.
Tata Motors and MTV will together select 24 contestants who will be further shortlisted through audience voting and 12 will be finally chosen to go on this exciting road trip. The 4 teams will commence their ultimate social road trip in the first week of June as VJ Nikhil Chinapa flags-off the journey from Zero Mile, Nagpur, which is the geographical center of India. As the journey progresses there will be 8 new participants joining each team for a small stretch of the journey. These participants also get selected through various social media contests, giving all the travel enthusiasts another chance to experience the drive. The teams will drive through their respective zones and will receive a fixed daily allowance to plan everything. On the course of their journey, teams will need to overcome obstacles, perform tasks and earn social media currency. The entire journey will enfold live on various social media platforms and on the Drive with MTV website. Social media will play a vital role in this unique road trip as viewers will get a chance to vote for their favorite teams online. Every activity on the road and on the web will add to the teams’ points and at the end of the journey, the team with maximum points will win a Nano for each of its members.
The second season is notch above the first season, since it is packed with double the fun, adventure, and experiences that will ensure viewers have their pulse racing!
