The yet-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki YBA Compact SUV has been spotted again by our usual Maruti-only spy photographers GaadiWaadi.com. This sighting comes nearly a month after the last one, which revealed the rear portion of the SUV with a single wiper, roof-mounted rear spoiler and bumper with a silver skid plate and reflectors at both ends.
Maruti XA Alpha sub-4 metre SUV Concept was unveiled at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, production version could debut at 2016 Show with ‘Maruti iV4′ badge.Here however, the car is heavily camouflaged and appears to be sitting on steel wheels instead of the alloy wheels spotted couple of times ealier. The entry-level SUV comes with a good ground clearance for the Compact SUV which will make it further attractive for the customers. The interior takes inspirations from the YRA hatchback and other models in the Maruti line-up to reduce the cost.
We’re expecting the Indian YBA range to comprise a 1.5-litre unit, sourced from Fiat. The reports also suggest that the compact SUV will get an optional all-wheel drive system, while the regular version will be front-wheel drive. The YBA will be the second crossover in Maruti’s line-up after the SX4 S-Cross, which is expected to launch in January-2015.
Maruti Suzuki will unveil the production version of YBA Compact SUV in 2016 Auto Expo.
