For the 2012 Auto Expo Maruti Suzuki has geared-up that begins later this week, and will have a range of model on display. Maruti will launch a new MPV Ertiga at the Expo and display the new concept compact SUV that might replace Gypsy and Jimny in the coming years.
Apart from the existing range of models available in India, Suzuki will display Swift Sport and Swift Hybrid which were unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show and Tokyo Motor Show respectively. It would be so exciting to see such exclusive offering from Maruti Suzuki this time. It sure seems that Maruti Suzuki India has a lot in store for its consumers in 2012.
Suzuki Swift Sport is actually a 3 door version of the new Swift. Under the hood, the car comes with a 1.6 litre of VVT petrol motor that would churn out 136 BHP of power intelligently mated with six speed manual gearbox. As the name suggests, the new Swift Sport will have a sporty look on the outside, which would comprise of HID headlights in the front, along with dual exhausts at the rear. The car will also sport a body kit, 17 inches of stunning alloy wheels and a spoiler. The interiors of the car have more of a sporty ambience.
The second car that will be introduced at the Auto Expo 2012 by Maruti Suzuki would be Swift Hybrid. This car has been creating a lot of buzz in the Indian car market. Swift Hybrid will be powered with typical petrol engine that would also work in harmony with an electric motor. However, it is unsure as this car to be production ready any time soon.
