This is an automated manual transmission (AMT) equipped Maruti Swift Dzire spotted likely at dealership yard in unknown location.
Looks quite normal as the regular Swift Dzire, the demo car spotted here is a ZDi (top-end diesel) variant indicating that the AMT is likely to be available only on the diesel version. No other cosmetic changes seen on the AMT-equipped Swift Dzire, also all the features from the manual variant are likely to be carried over on this model.
The demo vehicle had loud graphics all over the car, with the side profile of the compact sedan displaying the skyline of a city filled with skyscrapers, giving one the impression that the AMT-equipped Swift Dzire has been made with the cityscape in mind. Like other AMT-equipped Maruti cars, the Swift Dzire too gets an Auto Gear Shift sticker on its boot.
Like its closest rival Tata Zest F-Tronic AMT, the Swift Dzire AMT will pair this transmission (expected to be supplied by Magneti Marelli) to the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced DDiS diesel engine. This mill produces 74 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque @ 2,000. The fuel efficiency standing at 26.59 kmpl is unlikely to be affected with the AMT.
Maruti Swift Dzire AMT is likely to be priced Rs. 50,000 higher than the manual variant.
