India’s largest selling passenger cars, Maruti Suzuki had set-up a premium dealership chain in July-2015 called ‘NEXA’ to sell the company’s premium line-up of cars.
Firstly, the S-Cross was sold through NEXA dealership and the Baleno hatchback joined it in October-2015. Although the dealership network witnessed slow sales initially, with the launch of Baleno sales picked-up. This-year, the company is expecting 15-17% of its total sales to come from NEXA showroom.
According to Economic Times, Maruti Suzuki is planning to sell the facelifted Ciaz sedan at the NEXA dealerships from the regular dealerships. The company is also planning to sell the upcoming Ignis compact crossover through its premium chain. Both the cars, the Ciaz facelift as well as the Ignis are expected to launch during this festive season.
This premium dealership network has been successful in meeting the automaker’s expectations, now the sales are further expected to boost with the arrival of Ciaz facelift and Ignis at the premium dealerships. Now a total of 95 NEXA dealerships are operational across India, Maruti Suzuki plans to open 100 more outlets by end-2016.
