Its proud moment as Mahindra`s indigenous built SUV, XUV 500 has crosses the 1.5 lakh sales figure including exports since its launch in September, 2011. The XUV`s design was inspired by the Cheetah and was developed in-house at companies research and development facility Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. Ever since the launch the XUV500 become a favorite among the SUV enthusiasts and has also bagged several awards, most of them during the first year of its launch, including the “SUV of the Year” for the year 2011, 2012 and 2014. The SUV has evolved since then to meet the requirements of its customers and the market trend.
While speaking about the success of the XUV500, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “This is a proud moment for us as the XUV500 reaches this milestone.
