The country’s leading SUV manufacturer, Mahindra is planning to entirely change its rugged SUV, Mahindra Scorpio, the new Scorpio is likely to go on sale by the beginning of 2014. The new Mahindra Scorpio is expected to be around 250 kg lighter than the current model of the SUV. Referred to as the T026 project, the new Mahindra Scorpio is anticipated to be launched in 2014. But till then the company is expected to bring a face-lifted version of the Scorpio SUV to match the wide range of SUVs that are going to be soon launched in the Indian car market in the coming one year.

The Scorpio is expected to have the new design pattern that is being recently followed by Mahindra. Along with a stylish new grille the car will also have a modified bumper and bonnet. The interiors are expected to have features like the Voice Command Technology similar to the Xylo MPV. All these features are likely to lend the car a very attractive look which is bound to increase its popularity.

However all these reports are still rumours and nothing has been confirmed as yet. The Mahindra Scorpio has till now turned out to be a trump card for the company as it has been very popular amongst the buyers, the SUV has all the new designs and stylish features that has lead to a higher demand for the model. The Scorpio has been a tough competitor for Tata’s Safari right from the time it was launched and was a major product of the company till the launch of Mahindra XUV 500.
