Mahindra has launched the official website for its upcoming SUV – the TUV300, which as of now is highlighting the teaser pictures and the video explaining the inspiration behind design – battle tank.
This compact SUV project from Mahindra has been developed from scratch on an all-new platform, designed in-house by the Mahindra design team with inputs from Pininfarina. The research and development of Mahindra TUV300 has been carried out at the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai. Featuring bold and tough design, the TUV300 will be manufactured at Mahindra’s manufacturing facility at Chakan in Maharashtra.
Targeted at young rural buyers, the vehicle features sharp boxy design with raised shoulders, high front nose, flat roof, high ground clearance, straight bonnet and spare wheel on the boot lid. Powering the TUV300 will be a new-generation diesel engine dubbed as the ‘mHawk80′. The number 80 is most likely to denote power output in bhp.
Rest of the details are not officially confirmed yet, but is expected to be launched in September-2015.
