Mahindra Two-Wheelers, a part of the Mahindra Group, has launched a cut price version of Rodeo Automatic Scooter named Rodeo Std (Standard) to boost its sales, as Rodeo RZ is not doing well in the market. Rodeo Std variant is available at a price of Rs. 45,199, which is around Rs. 3000 lesser than Rodeo RZ, which costs Rs. 48,164 (prices Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
Although the Rodeo Std retains the RZ’s 8PS 125cc engine and CVT transmission with the telescopic front forks. Few features are eliminated such as the Rodeo Std makes do without the front fuelling cap (fuel filling inlet has been repositioned under the seat), digital instrumentation console is now replaced with an analog unit (so there is no digital speedometer and tachometer), anti-theft locking mechanism, charging socket and underseat light.
“There is increasing preference amongst young, modern couples for our fully loaded, premium Mahindra Rodeo RZ scooter. To make the wonderful Rodeo RZ proposition accessible to more customers, we launched a more affordable variant, the Rodeo RZ Std., at a very attractive price”, said Mr. Viren Popli, Executive Vice President – Strategy and Market Development, Mahindra Two Wheelers.
