Looks like there’s been some progress with the new Mahindra MPV prototype, as it’s being sighted wearing production headlamps and tail lamps now, since its existence came to light two months ago.
While Tata Motors is busy transforming its Aria premium MPV into a Hexa Crossover owing poor sales in the market, Mahindra is readying to foray into the MPV segment with this new MPV (Codenamed U321). Primary rival for both the upcoming above vehicles is the Toyota Innova Crysta.
Interestingly, the prototype in the picture was accompanied by the new Innova Crysta. Apart from the typical MPV design traits like the forward sloping roof, three rows of seating and hatch type opening for the rear door.
Expected to be positioned above the XUV500 and will borrow design cues from the same, when launches in the market by end-2017 or early-2018.
