Mahindra Jeeto Minivan launched at Rs. 3.45 lakh, Tata Magic Iris rival

Mahindra & Mahindra has recently launched the Jeeto Minivan based on the Jeeto pickup platform in India. Priced at Rs. 3.45 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), the Jeeto Minivan is launched only in diesel version for now, the petrol and CNG version will be added in the coming months, while the possibility of electric variant can’t be ruled-out either.

The Jeeto Minivan is slotted below the Supro in the Mahindra’s line-up, and competes with the likes of Tata Iris.

The Jeeto Minivan targeted as a people-carrier or a personal vehicle for rural and semi-urban market space comes in 4-seater or 5-seater configuration, and will be available in two body forms – a hard top and semi-hard top variant. It features dual tone interiors, seat belts, head restraints, flat bottomed steering wheel, 12V mobile charger, lockable glove box and provision for audio player.

A dual-tone interior with a clean minimalistic designed dashboard, modern instrument cluster and lockable glove box gives it a car-like feel. The driver and passenger get bucket seats with head restraints and seat belts while rear occupants get cushioned bench seats. The new mini-van vows to have equipped with large cabin space, cushioned seats and claims to have gear shifting similar to passenger car.

Intact with its Jeeto mini-truck, the Jeeto mini-van too is powered by the same 625cc m_Dura DI, single-cylinder, water-cooled, BS4 compliant diesel engine which produces 16 BHP and 38 Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a 4-speed gearbox, and delivers fuel-efficiency of 26 KMPL. A total of 3 colours are of offer – Sunrise Red, Ultramarine Blue and Diamond White, and comes with a warranty of 2 years/40,000 kms (whichever is earlier).
