Mahindra 150cc motorcycle in the making; few details known!

In March-2013, we have already reported you that Mahindra-2-Wheelers has started working on a new 150cc motorcycle. Now the report in IndianAutosBlog, confirmed that the Mahindra is working on an all-new 150cc motorcycle for the fast growing segment.

Targeted at the youth, this new 150cc offering will fill the gap between the Centuro and the Mojo. Also the company doesn’t have a single sports bike in its portfolio and this will be the next product that the brand is working towards. We can expect Mahindra’s now-signature gold twin circular trellis-frame-like structure to make an appearance on this new 150cc motorcycle.

The new Mahindra 150cc motorcycle with an engine capacity of over 150cc is in final stages of development and is expected to see the light of the day by end of 2016, probably during the festive season of 2016. The report also claims that this motorcycle will get an all-new chassis and powertrain, both are being developed in-house from scratch at the Mahindra’s R&D centre in Pune.

Like in typical Mahindra fashion, the 150cc segment motorcycle will be feature-rich housing some of the first-in-segment features and expect it to name ending with ‘O’, just like all its other models such as Mojo, Centuro, Gusto, Pantero, and even its SUVs like the Scorpio and Bolero.
