Austrian bike maker, KTM showcased its 1190 RC8 R superbike at the Delhi Orange Day. Now the 1190 RC8 R is already on display at various KTM showrooms across India with a sole purpose of showcasing the bike is branding, since KTM has no plans to sell this superbike in the country anytime soon. Price of KTM 1190 RC8 R will be approx Rs. 20 lakhs, as it will be a CBU model.
The KTM 1190 RC8 R has an 1195cc, liquid cooled, V-twin engine, which is one of the most powerful engine in production. The engine produced 173 HP at 10,000 RPM and 120Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The skeleton of the bike is a tubular space frame made from chrome molybdenum steel and has a powder coat finish. The bike has a telescopic front and mono-shock rear suspension unit to ensure full rider control for cutting curves and a smooth ride. The bike also features dual disc brakes at front and single disc brake at rear. With all this the weighs a mere 184 Kg (dry weight).
