Jaguar F Type launched in India at 1.37 crores INR

Jaguar Land Rover India had unveiled the all new Jaguar F-Type being the successor of iconic Jaguar E-Type at the Paris Auto show 2012. The deliveries of the car started recently globally and India is one of the earliest markets to get the Jaguar F-Type. In India, Jaguar Land Rover has introduced only two of the top of the line variants i,e V6 S and V8 S when compared to the three variants available globally.

The 3.0 liter V6 S variant would produce a maximum power of 380 PS at 6500rpm and a maximum torque of 460Nm at 3500rpm. The V6 S is featured with an 8 speed automatic transmission which allows the car to attain 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds with the top speed of 275 km/h. The V6 S is priced at 1.37 crores INR (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The 5.0 liter V8 S variant would produce a maximum power of 495 PS at 6500rpm and a maximum torque of 625Nm at 2500rpm. The V8 S is also featured with an 8 speed automatic transmission which is comparatively faster than V6 S, allowing the car to attain 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.3 seconds with the top speed of 300 km/h. The V8 S is priced at 1.61 crores INR (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The Jaguar F-Type would compete against Porsche 911 and Boxster. Jaguar F-Type is 21 mm shorter than Porsche 911, 128 mm longer than the Boxster and 115 mm wider than Porsche 911.
