Toyota Kirloskar Motors could launch the 2012 Toyota Camry Sedan in India sometime during next year with a preview at the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo. The 2012 model of the Toyota Camry Sedan is the 7th generation model of the highly successful car that has been around since 1982.
Now Toyota of Ukraine has just unveiled “Global version of the Camry” which is considerable different from the American one in terms of exterior design. The 2012 Toyota Camry was revealed in the United States a week back and we even published photos of the same. However, that model isn’t coming to India. IDM (Indian Domestic Market) on the other hand, will get a slightly different design that is classy than sporty.
There are also some noticeable differences with the styling. Instead of the sporty aggressive image, the Global version of the Camry features traits of a conservative family sedan. For instance, the front was redesigned to make the front of the Camry look more like a Lexus. Mechanically however, the Camrys will pretty much remain the same. The base engine is Toyota’s new 2.5L four banger good for 178hp while the V6 is retained in 3.5L form, offering 268hp.
