Hyundai India recently introduced the ‘Anniversary edition’ of its premium hatchback Hyundai Elite i20 to mark the 1st Anniversary in the Indian Market.
Talking about the visual changes, the ‘Anniversary edition’ Elite i20 gets a glossy black wrapped roof, blacked-out B and C pillars, sporty body decals and special edition badging on the boot lid. On the side profile, the car gets the new set of 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The new anniversary edition will be based on the Sportz trim level and will be available in just one body colour – Polar White. That too limited to 600 units in both petrol and diesel variants.
On the inside, the ‘Anniversary Edition’ will be equipped with the new touch-screen unit, while the other changes include the new upholstery, 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth connectivity, 6-speakers and climate control as the standard features. The dealer level fitments include floor mats, seat covers, door sill plates, parcel tray and badging. The Sportz trim on-board features driver side airbags, ABS, reverse parking camera, adjustable steering wheel and the power retractable ORVMs, so it’s a fully loaded car.
The ‘Anniversary edition’ of Hyundai Elite i20 is priced at Rs 6.69 lakh for the petrol variant, while the diesel counterpart costs Rs7.84 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). No mechanical changes are made, this special edition will use the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines that power the regular Elite i20. It will compete against the likes of Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz.
