Recently Hyundai India launched the all new fluidic Verna. We reported you earlier that in just 6 days after its launch, Hyundai clocked 5000 bookings for the car and now almost a month later, the automaker has bagged 20,000 bookings for the fluidic Verna. That is a really huge number for a car in the C-Segment.
Hyundai’s all new Verna has 20,000 bookings almost a month later of the launch. The new Fluidic Verna is being offered with four engine options of 1.4 litre petrol VTVT engine, 1.6 litre petrol VTVT engine, diesel powered common rail 1.4 litre CRDi engine and 1.6 litre diesel VGT CRDi engine. The car price starts at Rs.6.99 to 10.74 (Ex-showroom, New Delhi).
“In order to cater to the strong demand, we are trying to increase the production to help us reduce the waiting period and clear the backlog of bookings at the earliest,” said Arvind Saxena, Hyundai’s director for marketing and sales.
The New Verna apart from its handsome looks also offers two engines each for Petrol and Diesel. Both the 1.6 litre petrol and the diesel engines are mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission while the manual transmission option is available with all the four engine options. Verna is the only car in the segment which offers an autobox in the diesel model.
Hyundai had planned to sell 45,000 units in a year but looking at the demand we are sure Hyundai will cross that number in no time. Customers will now have to wait for 4-7 months for their new Verna. Now Hyundai India plans to increase production of the Verna.
The Verna is packed with a host of features with some a first in its segment. The car which will primarily take on the VW Vento, Honda City and yet to be launched Ford Fiesta.
