Honda has been is India for more than 3 decades, they started their presence along with Hero group. Hero and Honda which was called as Hero Honda occupied top positions in Indian market from very long time. Honda later started their own sales, which also done very well, their sales have jumped overtaking TVS in month of January and February. Now Honda’s own made First Mass segment bike called Dream Yuga will be unveiled by End of this May.
The Dream Yuga 110cc commuter motorcycle is essentially a Honda Shine with a 110cc four stroke single cylinder engine borrowed from the Honda CB Twister 110. Unlike the sporty CB Twister, the Dream Yuga 110 is expected to be tuned more for fuel economy, keeping with the demands of the commuter motorcycle buyer in India.
Honda Yuga is considered as economical bike and can be priced anywhere between 40,000 to 42,000 indian rupees. Honda Yuga is set to target its nearest rivals like Splendor and Passion which are currently under high sales figure. Production will begin at new plant near Bangalore, Karnataka by early 2013.
