Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has silently launched the 2012 edition of the CBR250R today, which is available in a new pearl heron blue tri-colour. However, the bike apart from the addition of a new tri-colour shade, the Pearl Heron, has got no mechanical changes or power increment. The 250cc engine develops 25.3PS of power and torque of 22.9Nm. The earlier colour options, Asteroid Black Metallic and Candy Ruby Red are still available.
According to Honda, the design of the CBR250R takes inspiration from Honda’s globally successful VFR1200F and CBR1000RR Fireblade. The CBR250R gets five-spoke aluminium cast wheels, tubeless tyres, stylish rear grip and split seat and a blue LCD backlit instrument panel.
The CBR250R comes in two variants – standard and C-ABS. The existing two-tone colours are priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (standard) and Rs 1.69 lakh (C-ABS), while the new tri-colour option comes at Rs 1.45 lakh (standard) and Rs 1.70 lakh (C-ABS). The new CBR250R will be available at all Honda Exclusive Authorized Dealerships starting early March, 2012.
