Honda Cars India has recently changed its service interval from 6 to 12 months for its newly launched compact crossover, the W-RV. It remains to be seen whether existing costumers of other Honda cars may also get the same benefit as to those who own a W-RV currently.
The company have always had a service interval of 6 months or 10000 km depending on what came earlier between the two. The new W-RV, which has received a decent response from the public, has been given 6 more months or 10000 km.
This announcement comes at the back of customer responses which were largely negative. Honda knew that this could be a serious threat to its sales, considering most of its rivals have quickly responded by extending their service intervals.
This could also be the same for future Honda products like the new Civic and C-RV, which are to be launched soon. At the moment there is no news of whether this revised service interval changes will apply to existing Honda customers.
