As a part of their strategic endeavour to create awareness among the public, Honda Cars India has released two-and-a-half minute clip featuring Kapil Sharma the most popular stand-up comedian in India today. Known for his show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, one can only imagine what will happen when he will star in an ad as a salesman for Honda Mobilio MPV.
In a move that it surely unique in the automobile category, Honda Cars India has decided to float viral videos targeting family saying its a 7-seater vehicle. To be launched in India in the coming weeks, Honda Cars India is leaving no stone unturned where pre-launch marketing activity for the new Mobilio is concerned.
Honda Mobilio is a power pack of performance, style, comfort, space, luxury, technology and price. Based on the same platform as the Brio, the Mobilio measures 4,386 mm in length, 1,683 mm in width, 1,603 mm in height and 2,650 mm in wheelbase. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine is expected to be a 1.2-litre iVTEC motor while the diesel version will get India’s most fuel efficient engine, 1.5-litre iDTEC. Petrol is expected to deliver 18 kmpl, while diesel will deliver 23+ kmpl.
The Mobilio is a seven-seater MPV and is expected to be in range between Rs 6-9 lakhs in the Indian market. Once launched, it will directly compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and the upcoming DATSUN GO+. Mobilio will go on-sale in India in late-July, and official bookings for the car will start early next month, while some dealers may have already commenced unofficial bookings.
