As we all know that the Japanese car maker Honda is going to launch its very first diesel powered car-Brio-Amaze in India-country that loves its diesel car, it’s believed to transform the fate of the car maker. Having gone through the bad phase in 2011-2012, Honda wouldn’t want to leave any stone unturned in the path of strengthening their roots in the country. And hence they have come up with a refreshing new strategy, where in, the prospective buyers opinion about the upcoming product is being asked. So now we see a teaser image of Brio Amaze and a comments window for prospective car buyers and Honda fans to convey their opinion in their official website.
This is indeed a new strategy and is expected to fetch some extra business to Honda.
The Brio Amaze compact sedan will be powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC turbo diesel engine that Honda has developed mainly for the Indian car market. This engine is expected to deliver about 90 Bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque on the Brio Amaze compact sedan. This engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
As Honda plans to have high localization content on the Amaze, the present survey will help in customization of the car as per the needs of Indians and then be accepted with open arms once it’s launched in the coming six months. Apart from the turbo diesel engine, the Brio Amaze compact sedan will also be available with a 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine borrowed from the likes of the Brio and the Jazz hatchbacks. The petrol engine is expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and a 5-speed automatic gearbox as an option. Soon after, Honda will also be launching Honda City diesel, Honda Jazz diesel and Honda Accord diesel besides there is high possibility that Honda Brio diesel might also arrive en route.
