Wrapped-off recently, the videos are here to give a better look at the Honda CBR250RR sportsbike that will launch in Indonesia towards the end of this year.
The new CBR250RR is the ultra light sportsbike comes equipped with throttle-by-wire technology and three engine modes which are mostly absent in its segment, sadly don’t expect it to launch anytime soon in India. First displayed in concept avatar at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the CBR250RR is finally revealed to the world in production ready form in Indonesia recently.
Resembling its concept, the bike gets sharp and aggressive styling in keeping with its CBR lineage. Noteworthy features include dual LED headlights, all digital instrument console, double barrel exhaust, upside down forks in the front and mono shock at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 310 mm single disc brakes in front and 240 mm single disc brake at rear.
Powering the new CBR250RR is a 250cc, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin DOHC engine mated to a six speed transmission. However, the company hasn’t revealed the power output of this engine yet, but has confirmed that the motorcycle would get Throttle-by-Wire (TbW) system. Further, Honda claims that the width of this twin-cylinder unit is ‘almost equivalent’ to a single-cylinder engine from the same category.
The new CBR250RR will be on offer in 2 variants – STD (Standard) and ABS (Dual-channel likely); and will be available in 3 colour options – Honda Racing Red, Anchor Grey Metallic and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. It will compete with the likes of the Yamaha YZF-R25 and the Kawasaki Ninja 250 in international markets.
Prices of the Honda CBR250RR in Indonesia:
- CBR250RR STD (Standard) – 63-68 million IDR (INR 3.22 lakh – 3.48 lakh)
- CBR250RR ABS – 69-70 million IDR (INR 3.53 lakh – 3.58 lakh)
