Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, announced that its production volume is likely to get normalized from the festival season. India is no exception with the production being cut to 50% of normal. However, the company, in an official statement today has said that its Brio small car will hit the roads as per the earlier schedule, and won’t get delayed. “Honda Brio will be launched as per the original schedule during the festival season this year” said the company statement.
Honda is currently making adjustments to its production volume in the Asia Oceania region based on the parts supply situation from Japan. The parts supply is now expected to increase gradually and production volume will be increased starting August 2011 with the expectation that HSCI will begin operating on normal production from the festival season.

The Brio measures 3.6 m in length, 1.68 m in width and 1.475 m in height. The Brio is powered by a 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine (Euro IV compliant) that develops 90 hp of maximum power. The fuel economy of the Brio, Honda claims is as 20 km/litre.
