Honda Activa 125 – FrontViewAs said earlier today, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched the Activa 125 at an event in Mumbai. The Activa 125 is available in 2 variants: Standard and Deluxe with a price tag of Rs. 52,447 and Rs. 58,156 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in four colours – Black, Midnight blue metallic, Sword silver metallic and Pearl sunbeam white.
The Standard variant gets has steel wheels and drum brakes all round, while the Deluxe gets 5-spoke alloy wheels, a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The drum brakes used on both variants measure 130 mm, while the disc brake on the Deluxe measures 190 mm. Both variants are equipped with tubeless tyres and Honda’s CBS (Combi Braking System) technology as standard fitment.
Honda Activa 125 – SideViewUnder the skin, the Activa 125 is powered by a 124.9 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder unit, which develops 8.6 bhp @ 6500 rpm and 10.12 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a V-Matic CVT transmission. Electric start is standard on both variants of the Activa 125. The scooter features Honda Eco Technology, which the goes on to claim a best in class efficiency of 59 kmpl.
The Activa 125 suspension system consists of telescopic forks at front and spring loaded hydraulic type at rear.
