The mystery of V-Twin Cruisers caught testing in India in many parts of our country is now confirmed to be the made-for-India Harley’s, these models will be the cheapest Harley’s in the line-up that will certainly attract more buyers in India. Harley Davidson is taking a different step from their traditional ways and the company will soon start using new generation technologies in its bikes to make them better.
American motorcycle giant Harley Davidson will be displaying its made-for-India motorcycles at the 2013 EICMA Motor Show held in Milan on November 7. EICMA is the world’s biggest motorcycle show and most of the manufactures unveils the big products here. As per the sources, Harley Davidson will unveil two new motorcycles named Street 500 and Street 750. These are the same motorcycles which have been spied while on road-test near the company’s facility in Haryana.
The Street 500 is powered by a V-twin 500cc engine which is expected to produce around 45 BHP of power with a top speed of 135 kmph. As per the industry experts the Harley Davidson Street 500 could start at a price well under 4 lakh rupees, attracting hordes of leisure motorcyclists to the Harley fold in India.
The bigger more power Street 750 is powered by 750cc V-Twin engine which is expected to produce around 50 BHP of power and 55 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 150 kmph. The Street 750 will feature MRF tyres, 90/90 x 17 in the front and 140/60 x 17 at rear. The 750cc variant is very likely to be priced around Rs. 5 lakh.
The India debut of both baby Harley’s is scheduled for the 2014 Auto Expo.
