Pune-based automobile company, Force Motors has announced the launch of two new variants of the Trax – Cruiser Deluxe and Toofan Deluxe. Apart from a few cosmetic upgrades, the Trax siblings also get added equipments and more powerful engines.
The two new variants get subtle changes to styling with a new front grill, re-designed front & rear bumpers, new set of round headlights, fresh design graphics on the side, flared wheel arches and newly styled wheel covers. Apart from these, the new models get the much-needed wide extended foot-board on the sides to ensure comfortable entry and exit for the elderly, small children and sari clad women.
As for the interiors, the Trax twins get a new dual tone upholstery and dashboard with a new instrument cluster. Apart from the front row air-conditioner, the second row also gets a roof mounted blower. Instead of manual, both variants are equipped with power steering. Both the Toofan Deluxe and Cruiser Deluxe come with ample storage space and best-in-class head room and leg room.
The Trax Cruiser Deluxe and Toofan Deluxe are powered by a 2.6-litre, 4-cylinder, BS-III-compliant diesel engine that develops 80 BHP @ 3,200 rpm and 230 Nm of torque @ 1,800-2,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. In terms of differences, the Cruiser Deluxe has been offered in two seating configuration – 10-seater (with 4WD) and 13-seater layout. Whereas the Toofan Deluxe only comes with a seating capacity of 12 (11 + driver).
