German luxury car maker, Audi had showcased a range of new cars and concepts in the country at the recently concluded 2016 Auto Expo. The showstopper for Audi during the 2016 Auto Expo has to be their Audi Prologue Concept. Showcased to gauge public interest, the coupe-styled concept has managed to attract attention of enthusiasts, media and visitors alike.
Audi Prologue Concept
Audi stands for sportiness, lightweight design and the quattro® permanent all-wheel drive. The Audi Prologue, expresses this know-how in a new form. Audi has put the sportiest car in the luxury segment on wheels. Audi Prologue takes new approaches in both exterior and interior design. Audi design is now expressing progressive technology even more powerfully. The two-door coupe has a flowing, elegant shape in a sporty and taut design. Its forms and lines are unmistakable and introduce many new ideas. In the clear and unobstructed interior, the architecture melds with the display and operating concept to create a new type of unit. The entire front of the instrument panel is a large touch display, and a portion of the user interface operates with a new type of OLED display made of organic LEDs.
New Audi R8 V10 Plus
Audi, today set the pulses racing at the Auto Expo 2016 as it unveiled the most powerful and fastest production Audi ever built – the next generation Audi R8 V10 Plus. Naturally-aspirated 5.2 FSI quattro® V10 mid-engine with up to 610 hp (449 kW) of power responds instantly to throttle and propels the car from 0 to 100 in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 330 km/h. Built on the aerodynamic concept of a race car, the next generation Audi R8 V10 Plus has improved fuel economy by 13 percent. Much lighter than its predecessor, the next generation Audi R8 V10 Plus is priced at INR 2.47 crores ex-showroom Mumbai and New Delhi.
New Audi A4
The new-generation Audi A4 is a fascinating synthesis of technology and aesthetics. All the technology in the brand’s bestselling car has been redeveloped so that it yet again defines the benchmark in the segment. Audi A6 allroad
The winner in the business class has just gotten better – Audi has thoroughly updated the A6 family. Audi S3 Cabriolet
Dynamism in the open air – the Audi S3 Cabriolet. The open-top four-seater is unrivaled in its segment. Its 2.0 TFSI engine develops 300 hp and delivers 380 Nm of torque. The Audi S3 Cabriolet also makes use of quattro® permanent all-wheel drive – the perfect foundation for optimal traction and driving dynamics in all road conditions. Absolute lightweight construction and a high-performance chassis complete the profile of the Audi S3 Cabriolet.
Audi SQ5
Boosted by two turbochargers, the Audi SQ5 produces a brawny 313 hp (230 kW) and 650 Nm of torque between 1,450 and 2,800 rpm. The Audi SQ5 sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds; top speed is 250 km/h. A fast and smooth-shifting eight-speed tiptronic and a quattro® permanent all-wheel drive with torque vectoring transfers the power of the muscular V6 diesel to the road.
