Only 300 units of Ducati Monster 795 superbikes are on offer for an introductory price of Rs 5.99 lakhs. Ducati launched Monster 795 superbike in India last month at a price of Rs.6.99 lakhs but announcements were made practically immediately regarding an Rs.1 lakh drop in price for the first 300 buyers.

Increased interest is being shown since the price cut was announced as has been noticed by Ducati’s Indian dealers. The bike is imported into Indian from Thailand as completely built units, but this does not entail any additional taxes as the two countries share free trade agreements. So all vehicles imported into India from Thailand entails an import duty of 20% as against 60%, which is what importers of CBUs have to shell out.

Ducati Monster 795 has shorter ride height and raised handle bar which ensures better and more comfortable long distance riding. Engine is L Twin air cooled with 87 Bhp peak power and 78 Nm peak torque. Though assembled in Thailand, the Ducati Monster 795 is an amalgamation of parts sourced from Thailand, Italy and India so as to keep prices at minimum levels.
