In the recent concluded crash tests, Global NCAP had insisted that Go hatchback has to be removed from the Indian market immediately as it had earned performance rating of zero stars in the crash tests. The Go+ MPV is a seven seater variant of the companies first model Datsun Go hatchback which is expected to be launched by this month at an aggressive pricing of under INR 5 lakhs in order to compete the likes of other MPV’s such as Toyota Innova, Nissan Evalia, Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the Indian market.

It is expected to feature rear under run protection elements, flared wheel arches, 15-inch wheels, high seating position and trapezoidal Datsun grille in the front.

Coming to the technical specifications, Datsun’s compact SUV is expected to be powered with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine coupled to 5-speed manual transmissions as already seen in the Go hatchback. However it is expected to be launched by May 2015 at a price tag of below INR 3.8 lakhs competing the likes of Fiat Avventura, Ford EcoSport, Volkswagen Polo Cross and Toyota Etios Cross in the Indian market.
