The Indian government has extended the validity of vehicle documents such as fitness certificates, permits, driving licenses and registration documents until July 31, 2020, according to a media report.
The report also claims that no extra or late fee will be charged by the government for delays in validating documents pending as of February 1, 2020. Therefore, fees charged on or after 1 February 2020 for the renewal of either of those documents will remain valid.
The decision has been taken to expand the validity of the documents as the country is under lockdown to control the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
