General Motors will launch the much awaited Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV will be launch in India on October 21, 2015. The bookings will begin on the same day at Chevrolet dealerships and Amazon. The Trailblazer will compete with SUV`s like #Fortuner and #Endeavour and is expected be priced in a range of Rs. 25 to 30 lakh (ex-showroom). To minimise the cost incurred on import duties the SUV will be imported as a Completely Knocked Down unit (CKD) and will be assembled at the GM`s Gujrat plant.
The Trailblazer will be powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that is capable of producing a max output of 200bhp@3600rpm and a 500Nm torque at 2000rpm. The SUV will be offered with a six-speed automatic transmission coupled with the rear wheels. The Trailblazer is built on GM`s ladder-on frame chassis and measures 4,866mm in length, 1,902mm in width and 1,834mm in height. The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with a wheelbase of 2,845mm. To fulfil the thirst of the motor the SUV is equipped with 76-litre fuel tank. The SUV is equipped with projector headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED brake lights with jewel effect. A dual port grill in the fronts makes sure that there is enough air is getting sucked to keep the engine cool. The SUV has safety features like Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, cornering brake control and many more.
On the interior the SUV is equipped with a host of features like 7-inch Chevrolet`s Mylink touch screen infotainment system with iOS and Android support, a dash camera with 32 GB memory, reverse camera with chromatic LCD monitor and many more surrounded by premium upholstery to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.
