Chevrolet, which celebrated its Centennial yesterday is saying thanks a million – no really, we’re serious – the brand is saying thanks a million to buyers of its Chevrolet Cruze. The compact sedan, which was launched in 2009 and in North America in 2010, reached 1 million in sales this week worldwide.
Cruze is one of the key drivers of the global expansion of Chevrolet and one of the top-selling models in its segment in all the markets where it is sold. The Cruze is sold in more than 100 countries and is Chevrolet’s top-selling nameplate.
“I can’t think of a better birthday present,” said Karl Slym, President and Managing Director, General Motors India. “Cruze’s combination of style, comfort, fuel-efficiency and safety is a hit across the globe. Our customers know a winner when they drive it.”
Ever since its launch in India in October 2009, the Chevrolet Cruze has received numerous awards and accolades in the Indian automobile landscape along with an overwhelming response from customers across the country, thereby building the reputation of the brand for attractive design, great performance and outstanding fuel economy in its segment.
