Home-grown automaker, Tata Motors earlier last-month launched the updated BS6 Tata Harrier with a new diesel engine and alongside introduced the much-awaited Harrier Automatic variant at the Auto Expo 2020.
Derived from the Land Rover’s legendary D8 platform, and customised as ‘Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced’ Architecture (OMEGA-ARC) for India, the ‘Harrier 2020’ comes with ‘One India, One Price’ starting at INR. 13.69 lakh for the manual version and INR. 16.25 lakh for the automatic version.
Tata Harrier A/T uses a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Hyundai. The gearbox is mated to an existing 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine which now complies with BS6 norms, this engine has been uprated to develop 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The long-awaited Harrier automatic variant comes in three trims – XMA, XZA and XZA+.
The 2020 Tata Harrier SUV comes with a host of new features like Panoramic Sunroof, 6-way Powered Driver Seat with adjustable lumbar support, Auto Dimming Rear View Mirrors and Two-Tone Diamond Cut R17 alloys, it will further enhance the design quotient with a new dynamic Calypso Red Colour and new stylish aerodynamic outer mirrors.
BS6 Harrier will now also be available with a new top-of-the-line XZ+/ XZA+ trim, which consists of a host of exciting features making it an irresistible package for its buyers.
