Benelli are adamant on launching their new product, the TNT302S to the Indian market. The TNT302S is likely to replace the TNT300 from Benelli’s India line-up. We can expect it to be launched by the end of 2018.
However, Benelli will also plan to locally assemble the TNT302S in order to keep prices in check. The Italian bike manufacturer recently announced a partnership with Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI). AARI will help Benelli to assemble and import motorcycles to Italy and various South East Asian regions.
Benelli unveiled the TNT302S at the 2017 EICMA motorcycle show. The TNT302S carries forward a muscular design theme and we can expect various parts to be retained when the model is launched here. Features include a full LED headlight with LED DRL’S, metal finished rear fender, full digital instrument console, upside-down telescopic suspension, rear shock absorber, front and rear disc brakes, muscular fuel tank and so on.
The TNT302S will be powered by a 300cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 38 bhp of power and 26.5 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Benelli are set to re-open their temporarily-stopped Indian operations in October 2018. So we can expect the TNT302S to be the first new product from their restart in the Indian market. The TNT302S will rival the likes of the KTM Duke 390, Yamaha R3 and the Bajaj Dominar in the highly-competitive affordable sports bike segment.
