Bajaj Auto has silently introduced a new paint shade for the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 – the Desert Gold.
The company calls it ‘Desert Gold Edition’, surprisingly; the new paint shade is very similar to shade on the discontinued Yamaha Enticer, which was a very popular colour option when it was in production until 2003. Gold is the primary colour which is complemented by dark brown area surrounding the fuel tank badges and a neat silver outline.
The Avenger Desert Gold Edition has already reached some showrooms and dealers say that it will be priced similar to the standard Cruise 220 at Rs. 85,497 (ex-showroom, Delhi). There are no mechanical changes to this model. It uses the same 220 cc, oil-cooled engine which delivers 19.03 PS and 17 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed unit.
