Hyundai Motor India has silently introduced a new lower variant of the Hyundai Creta diesel automatic called ‘S+’. It loses out some features compare to the only diesel automatic top-end SX+ variant.
Until now, the Creta diesel automatic was available only in the top-end SX+ trim. This new variant is priced around Rs. 1.06 lakh cheaper than the SX+ diesel automatic variant. The introduction of the Creta S+ Diesel AT comes after observing growing demand of automatics in the Indian market.
The Creta S+ diesel is powered by a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder engine that puts out 126 bhp of peak power at 4000 rpm and 265 Nm of peak torque at 1900 rpm. The automatic gearbox is a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) 6-speed unit powering the front wheels. Fuel efficiency figure haven’t been revealed yet.
Priced at Rs. 13.56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the dealerships have already started accepting bookings at all the major metro cities but commands a two month waiting period.
