German luxury car maker Audi has introduced the new Audi A8 L W12 quattro – the top version of its flagship model. Powered by a 6.3L FSI petrol engine, the newest variant of Audi’s flagship boasts a whopping 500bhp and equally astonishing 625Nm of torque at 3250 rpm. The Audi A8L can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds and gain its maximum top speed of 250 kmph. The new Audi A8 L W12 will be priced at INR 12,656,000 (ex showroom Maharashtra).
The car is built on an aluminum frame using the principle of the Audi Space Frame, so that the car weighs 40% less in comparison to a car built on a steel frame. Another great feature of this car is that is boasts of a longer wheelbase. The rear seats are reclining seats, which also have massaging function in the, a foot rest that is power adjustable located on the front passenger seats base.
Head restraint, ventilation and heating form an integral part of this car. It also features a refrigerator, additional leather and wood trim, a folding table and an entertainment system for the rear seat that consists of 10.2” two screens that make this car comfortable and entertaining to lounge in.
Visually, the only major differences between the W12 powered A8 and other models is the subtle changes that the exteriors feature. A single-frame radiator grille with integral grid structure with a black paint finish and special chromed horizontal bars is what will distinguish the W12 A8 from the other A8s in Audi’s line up. Chromed inserts with a new design in the air inlets, and chromed exterior mirrors are the other subtleties.
Finally, you do get W12 badges displayed on the single-frame grille and at the rear of the car to tell the world that this car has some tremendous poke under that long hood The exhaust system has two trapezoidal-pattern tailpipe trims neatly integrated into the rear bumper complete the visual differences of the W12 Audi A8 model, when compared to the other A8s.
