TVS Motor Company introduced its first electric scooter called the Electric iQube. It will be on-sale from today in Bangalore, and is priced at Rs. 1.15 lakh (on-road). You can book for a token amount of INR 5,000 at the company’s official website and at select outlets.
The iQube Electric sports a slim headlamp with turn indicators, LED tail lights and a glowing emblem flanking it. It is fitted with the SmartXonnect TVS interface, and comes with a cluster of TFT instruments.
The TVS iQube app includes features like geo-fencing, remote battery charging status, navigation assist, last park location, incoming call alerts / SMS alerts, among others.
Furthermore, the e-scooter comes with Q-park assist, riding modes-economy and power, day and night view and regenerative braking.
A 4.4 kW electric motor draws its juice from a 4.5kWh lithium-ion battery. The iQube is said to accelerate in 4.2 seconds from 0-40 KMPH, and has a top speed of 78 KMPH. The battery can be charged completely in a matter of 5 hours, and on a full charge TVS reports a maximum range of 75 KMS.
