BMW India has added an M Sport package to the X5 line-up in India. Priced at Rs 75.90 lakh, the X5 xDrive30d M Sport is locally produced at the German luxury automaker’s plant in Chennai in a diesel variant and is available at BMW dealerships across India.
The M Sport package makes the X5 xDrive30d even sportier and agile. It is positioned between the regular X5 and the more-powerful BMW X5 M, with respect to exterior and interior styling. The X5 xDrive30d M Sport is available in Alpine White non-metallic and in two metallic shades of Space Gray and Carbon Black.
Now you have a more “factory” option – the X5 xDrive30d M Sport comes fitted with the M Aerodynamic Package. It includes 20-inch M light-alloy double-spoke wheels, BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line, M-specific vehicle key and a tailpipe cover in high gloss chrome covering. Also there are ‘M’ badges on front wings and M designation on the door sill strip.
Inside you will see the regular 3-spoke steering wheel replaced with an M leather steering wheel, head-up display, M driver’s footrest, brushed aluminium interior trim, comfort seats for driver and a BMW Individual roof liner in anthracite. In addition, several high-end premium features like Panorama glass roof, next-generation BMW iDrive with touch controller, and BMW Navigation Professional are on offer as standard.
We finally come to the engine-specs, where it offers the 3.0-litre TwinPower six-cylinder diesel engine developing 258 hp and 560 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox with steering mounted paddles, and comes standard with BMW’s xDrive AWD system. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 6.9 seconds while top speed stands at 230 kmph.
