Just like the 2013 Chevrolet Captiva facelift’s launch, GM India today silently launched the 2013 Chevrolet Cruze facelift silently without any ceremony at a starting price of Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). To be offered in 3 trims, 2 with manual transmissions, and 1 with automatic, the facelift model features only one engine option, 2.0-litre VCDi diesel. Alongside the company also announced that it will sell the Sail hatchback with a 5 year warranty as part of a festive offer.
The 2013 Cruze facelift is featured an all-new front & rear bumpers, redesigned front grille, revised headlamps, redesigned front fog lamp with a chrome lining and a new 16 inch” alloy wheels, which help the car look sportier and more aggressive than before. On the inside, nothing has been changed, except the two more airbags, which adds more to its safety quotient. The car continues to come in all jet black interiors and sunroof.
There are no changes have been made under the hood, the cars comes with the same 2.0-litre VCDi diesel engine, which churns out the maximum power output of 163.7bhp and 380Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission system. The Cruze is indeed the most powerful diesel car in its segment and the manual transmission variant has an ARAI claimed mileage of 17.3 kmpl.
