The AutoForum.cz has managed to get their hands on an image of the facelifted Cruze without a single piece of camouflage. New Chevrolet Cruze may debut during upcoming Detroit Motor Show scheduled to begin in first week of January 2012. Ever since, the Cruze has been doing good numbers, not only in India but worldwide. It won’t be wrong to say that the Cruze is quite responsible for GM’s turnover after it had filed for bankruptcy. Worldwide, GM has sold more than 1 million units of Cruze!!
From the images the front design of 2013 Cruze looks more aggressive compared to current model. The huge front grille has retained its size and shape but the honey comb mesh has been replaced with more prominent horizontal bars. The fog lamp design is very sharp and has been highlighted by black back ground. The lower air dam design is another important design aspect which improves overall appearance of the car. The headlight and hood designs have been kept unchanged. New Chevrolet Cruze may get a set of Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) embedded to its headlights.
The interiors of Cruze will also get slight improvements from existing model. Under the hood, we don’t expect any changes, Cruze will continue with its decent engine choice which includes a mixture of gasoline and diesel engines. The engine will get company of a five speed manual or six speed auto box.
Now there are rumors new Chevy Cruze in all-set for New Delhi Auto Expo 2012, but Chevrolet India has not officially disclosed any plans. So can we expect a surprise from Chevrolet India.? Or will they prefer to show it on their home turf at Detroit..? If the new Cruze misses both these stages, then Geneva Motor Show will have 2012 Cruze for sure.
